Hello, Which version of FreeBSD ? (I had exactly the same problem with 2.2.6-Release, whose Atapi driver IS buggy) If you're on 2.2.6-Release, you will have to install from the DOS partition (after first copying needed files to the HD) TfH "A.K" wrote: > > Hello! > > Here's my system config: > > PII 266 > 64 MB RAM > IBM DHEA 6.4 Gig drive (IDE) > Genius 2500 III Lan card (NE2000 compatible) > SiS 3D AGO PRO video card > Gigabyte 440 LX motherboard. > LiteON 40 X Cd ROm > > This is nothing exotic so why does it hang at "Probing devices"???? > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
