Please try to keep down the cc: ing. It's redundant, especially with questions@freebsd.org (main support) in the list :) On Wed, 17 Jul 1996 edward.ing@utoronto.ca wrote: > Secondly, failing in this attempt to access the vital HMTL documents, I > attempted to install Netscape as per your instructions in the README.TXT > file on the CD-ROM in order to be able to access the HMTL docs on my > BSD Docs CD. Just go through netscape's download system and pull the BSD-i386 binary. Then unpack in a convenient place (/usr/X11R6 is a good place), symlink X11R6 to X11 (ln -s X11R6 X11) then run it. Then you should be able to use 'open file' and get to /usr/share/doc/ and open what you want. Go for the table of contents (toc) first. > and this seemed to be more productive, except that I got this error > > "/usr: create/symlink failed, no inodes free > Jan 20 18:20:08 freebsd /kernel: uid 0 on /usr: out of inodes," What do you have on the disk? You shouldn't get this. Run 'df -ik' and send back the output.
