Is there a way to compile the FreeType library without installing fetching all of X? Witness this: # grep X /etc/make.conf NO_X= true # do not compile in XWindows support (e.g. doscmd) # cd /usr/ports/print/freetype # make fetch >> freetype-1.3.1.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist on this system. >> Attempting to fetch from ftp://download.sourceforge.net/pub/sourceforge/freetype/. Receiving freetype-1.3.1.tar.gz (1427072 bytes): 100% 1427072 bytes transferred in 23.1 seconds (60.44 Kbytes/s) # make ===> Extracting for freetype-1.3.1 >> Checksum OK for freetype-1.3.1.tar.gz. ===> freetype-1.3.1 depends on executable: gmake - found ===> freetype-1.3.1 depends on shared library: X11.6 - not found ===> Verifying install for X11.6 in /usr/ports/x11/XFree86 >> X336src-1.tgz doesn't seem to exist on this system. >> Attempting to fetch from ftp://ftp.xfree86.org/pub/XFree86/3.3.6/source/. -- Dan Langille [I'm looking for more work] The FreeBSD Diary - http://www.freebsddiary.org/ FreshPorts - http://freshports.org/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
