For more information please see the rc.conf man page (there are several options starting with moused_). Another good resource is the moused man page (there is a section "Configuring Mouse Daemon"). I have the following in my rc.conf: # Mouse moused_enable="YES" moused_flags="" moused_port="/dev/psm0" moused_type="auto" There's a good chance that this setting will also work for you. If it doesn't work, please tell us which mouse you are using (vendor, modell, etc.). Also, please attach a copy of your rc.conf.
