The following reply was made to PR ports/56968; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Marius Strobl <marius@alchemy.franken.de> To: eikemeier@fillmore-labs.com Cc: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: ports/56968: [PATCH] port security/nmap: update to 3.45, grab maintainership Date: Wed, 24 Sep 2003 11:29:06 +0200 This update has some major flaws: - Nmap doesn't build with the OpenSSL Port. - Nmap uses it's own libpcre although it depends on devel/pcre. - As it now depends on devel/pcre -I${PREFIX}/include should be added (but actually isn't) and this will re-enable the build issue when devel/libgnugetopt is installed. This is also an issue when building with den OpenSSL Port but the later will hurt much less people. Why did you rototile the nmap and nmapfe ports anyway? This will only add bloat to the repository and the previous ports worked perfectly. See ports/56920 for a working update.
