Today I tried to install Amanda 2.4.1 from the ports collection. All seemed to go well, and I got it configured, then I was faced with: taper: shmget: Cannot allocate memory. I didn't have too much time to fiddle around trying to find out how to increase shared memory, so instead I added --with-mmap to CONFIGURE_ARGS. I am just letting you know about this - as I'm sure the idea of the ports collection is to have utilities working 'as is' or 'out of the box' so to speak, without any problems. I hope this is helpful in some way. In case you need to know - I'm running 4.0-RELEASE, with an almost GENERIC kernel (I just took out unnecassary device drivers, and SLIP/PPP/TUN and a few other things I'm sure didn't affect this). I last updated my ports collection yesterday (14/06/99) using cvsup from cvsup2.uk.freebsd.org. That's all - Keep up the good work!
