Good nights sleep does it all... AND copying /etc/ttys back into the new /etc directory. *Then* it will login. Actually a binary upgrade was a piece of cake and the daemon is hopping about on the screen now! I'm going to do the same to the rest of the LAN clients but wait till the CDROM shows up for the server. Merry Solstice!
