Can't the release delta be generated >after the fact? Yes, someone with a lot of disk space and a good knowledge of the ctm generation process can generate a delta from any source to any target. However, there are a number of details that must be "just right" or the attempt will fail to fit in seamlessly. And in the CTM world, it's either seamless or it doesn't work.
