Hey will...

Not sure exactly where your problem is going wrong... I've read your text a
couple times and get lost in the circles.  You said a lot, but I don't
think you provided much in the end :)

Did you actually succeed in getting FreeBSD to install (not boot, but
install) to your second drive, or not?  And what boot manager are you
trying to use?
