The following reply was made to PR ports/25027; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "David Xu" <davidx@viasoft.com.cn> To: "David W. Chapman Jr." <dwcjr@inethouston.net>, <FreeBSD-gnats-submit@freebsd.org>, <davidx@mail.viasoft.com.cn> Cc: Subject: Re: ports/25027: samba nmbd core dumped on isolated machine Date: Thu, 19 Apr 2001 11:31:35 +0800 see some logs in /var/log.nmbd [2001/04/19 10:50:01, 0] nmbd/nmbd_subnetdb.c:create_subnets(242) create_subnets: No local interfaces ! [2001/04/19 10:50:01, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:main(831) ERROR: Failed when creating subnet lists. Exiting. I think it's nmbd's fault. why not delay and loop until it find an interface can be binded ? current nmbd does not work well with PCMCIA. I will put some tweaks in /etc/pccard.conf to start nmbd when PCMCIA is ready. but it's ugly. Thanks, David Xu ----- Original Message ----- From: David W.
