did you check the driver checked into the -current tree?
I did most of this plus a bit more,
Includind adding the right copyright, and reformatting it into BSD 
"Kernel Normal Format" (KNF).

compiles fine as a module.. but I haven't fully tested it yet..
I'll be checking in the 4.x version soon, when I've seen the5.x version
working fully..
