I just installed 3.0 yesterday on a Gateway GP6-400 with an ATAPI CD-ROM and a SoundBlaster compatible audio device. A couple of questions here: I compiled a new kernel with sb devices added in, and it probes out like this: sb_reset_dsp failed sb0 not found at 0x220 sb_reset_dsp failed sbxvi0 not found sbmidi0 not found at 0x330 awe0 at 0x620 on isa AWE32: not detected and in /dev I have: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 4 Jul 20 19:59 dsp -> dsp0 crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 30, 3 Jul 20 19:59 dsp0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 5 Jul 20 19:59 dspW -> dspW0 crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 30, 5 Jul 20 19:59 dspW0 any thoughts as to why my sound card seems to not be working?
