Hi!

I have the following hardware:

FreeBSD 3.1-STABLE #1: Mon Feb 22 13:14:55 EET 1999
ahc0: <Adaptec aic7880 Ultra SCSI adapter> rev 0x00 int a irq 11 on pci0.13.0
ahc0: Using left over BIOS settings
ahc0: aic7880 Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 16/255 SCBs
da0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0
da0: <WDIGTL ENTERPRISE 1.80> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device
da0: 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 8, 16bit)
da0: 4157MB (8515173 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 4157C)

Using (dd if=/dev/zero of=/usr/tmp/file bs=64k count=1000) I get about 4.2MB/s.
Is it normal? What is the expected write speed of this drive?
