Hi everybody! Has anyone noticed that you cannot start X server in 2.2.1 once you have switched the system security level to 1? This is due to the ioctl KDENABIO now returning the error "Operation not permitted" (in xf86OpenConsole) when the security level is above zero. This may have been a well intended but not very good change, because now the X server cannot be started after the boot time, and if one has to start it later for some reason, one has to reboot the whole system to get the security level down to 0 for a while. I would prefer a less restrictive approach to the security by enabling KDENABIO only for root at any time when security level is less than 2. Cheers, // jau ------ / Jukka A.
