In case you'd "hit" the freeze without noticing (although I expect people do read mail and pay attention on announcements of such importancy), pre-commit check would have caught it for you. No need to make wild guesses. As for rationale against abusing it outside a slush, please see my email on port-committers@ from 27 Feb, msgid <20120227070603.GA86372@FreeBSD.org>. Just couple of weeks ago, not sure why you didn't see it. In short, while there are no *technical* problems with this tag, it's confusing to see it outside feature freeze, which also kinda makes entire idea behind it vague. ./danfe
