Devil? psh. BTW, the definition of a daemon on the FreeBSD webpage is kind of a stretch. A daemon, in ancient Greek, usually refers to a real god or more often the divine power itself of that god. It's more of a concept than a little creature. In the New Testament, which was written in Greek, the same word daemon came to be used exclusively to refer to an evil spirit, hence, the modern meaning of demon or daemon.
