I cvsupped to 4-stable from 4.3-release by saying # cvsup -g -L 2 /etc/cvsupfile (http://www.longs.org/~pwl/cvsupfile is a copy of my /etc/cvsupfile.) All appears to go normally. I then rm -rf *'ed /usr/obj and did a # script /var/tmp/mw.out (http://www.longs.org/~pwl/mw.out is a copy of that.) # cd /usr/src # make -j4 buildworld (I also tried it without the -j4 ) This runs for around an hour and ends with: cc -O -pipe -D_GNU_SOURCE -I- -I. -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/i386 - I/us r/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../libbfd/i 386 -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../../../../contrib/binutils/include -DDE FAUL T_EMULATION=\"elf_i386\" -DTARGET=\"i386-unknown-freebsd\" -DSCRIPTDIR=\"/us r/ob j/usr/src/i386/usr/libdata\" -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../../../../ cont rib/binutils/ld -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../../../../contrib/binut ils/ bfd -DVERSION=\""2.11.2 20010719 [FreeBSD]"\" -DBFD_VERSION=\""2.11.2 20010719 [ FreeBSD]"\" -c /usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../../../../contrib/binutils/ ld/lexsup.c cc -O -pipe -D_GNU_SOURCE -I- -I. -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/i386 - I/us r/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../libbfd/i 386 -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../../../../contrib/binutils/include -DDE FAUL T_EMULATION=\"elf_i386\" -DTARGET=\"i386-unknown-freebsd\" -DSCRIPTDIR=\"/us r/ob j/usr/src/i386/usr/libdata\" -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../../../../ cont rib/binutils/ld -I/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../../../../contrib/binut ils/ bfd -DVERSION=\""2.11.2 20010719 [FreeBSD]"\" -DBFD_VERSION=\""2.11.2 20010719 [ FreeBSD]"\" -c /usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/binutils/ld/../../../../contrib/binutils/ ld/mri.c *** Error code 1 1 error *** Error code 2 1 error *** Error code 2 1 error *** Error code 2 1 error *** Error code 2 1 error What have I done.
