No, it is not.  dri/drm are for using accelerated 3D (on those cards where
this is supported) and has nothing to do with which resolutions you can use.


X.org 6.9 does not have any support for the X1300.  There might be some support
for it in the upcoming X.org 7.x (for x > 0), but I am not sure about that.


If you are using the 'vesa' driver I believe that you can only use those
modes that have been pre-programmed in the card's BIOS.  1280x800 (or other
wide-screen resolutions) is usually not one of those.
