However - if you set '-txcsum -tso4 -lro' on the FreeBSD box acting as a router - Windows machines still cannot pass traffic through it as a router :( [not tested Linux - but I'd guess from past experience a Linux PV instance will be the same] So whilst this is a work around (of sorts) for FreeBSD boxes using another FreeBSD box as a router - it's not usable in mixed platforms.
