I'm running FreeBSD 2.1.0-RELEASE on my PC and attempting to make a PPP connection to a remote Sun running Solaris 2.5 and slirp. I have had this working between Windows 95 PPP on my PC and slirp at the Solaris end. I go through a terminal server at the remote end to get to the Sun (I've tried both telnet and rlogin for this terminal-server-to-Sun step). >From the PPP debug log I can see that the chat succeeds but the negotiation hangs at this point: 09-25 23:14:59 [291] LCP: state change Initial --> Closed 09-25 23:14:59 [291] LCP: state change Closed --> Stopped 09-25 23:14:59 [291] ReadFromModem 09-25 23:14:59 [291] 0D 0D... ...lots of these but nothing else... In the PPP dial window I see 'ppp ON' but never 'PPP ON'. Does anyone have any hints on getting this working? I've tried playing with lots of variables (escaped characters, async map, telnet vs. rlogin) but nothing has gotten me any further. -- Todd Pfaff \ Email: pfaff@mcmaster.ca Computing and Information Services \ Voice: (905) 525-9140 x22920 ABB 132 \ FAX: (905) 528-3773 McMaster University \ Hamilton, Ontario, Canada L8S 4M1 \
