 Some details:

 # mount
 /dev/da0s1a on / (ufs, local)
 devfs on /dev (devfs, local)
 /dev/da0s1d on /usr (ufs, local, soft-updates)
/dev/da0s1e on /var1 (ufs, local, with quotas, soft-updates)
/dev/da0s1f on /var2 (ufs, local, with quotas, soft-updates)
 devfs on /var1/var/named/dev (devfs, local)

Contents of /var1 and /var2 is restored from tar-ball created on the
previous version of OS 4.11-STABLE (news spool, mail spool, users home dirs,
 etc).

Btw, 'deco' program doesn't have any problems with full file listing.
