I do not consider sendmail to be a requirement for our systems anymore, and I'm actively looking for a replacement (NB: please don't mail me with ``go to foomailer, you'll love it''. I'll form my own opinions, thanks) Giving our *huge* userbase (which is considerably numerous than the number of messages/day I do), and how many of those are totally sendmail illiterate, why is sendmail a requirement? For those who need sendmails features? Thats why ftp://ftp.sendmail.org/ exists. IMHO having the option of `make world' installing an alternate mailer which has a nearly english config file is a plus.
