From: Michael Scheidell To: Cc: Subject: Re: ports/166966: A script to make light pkg-plist files for new FreeBSD Ports Date: Sun, 15 Apr 2012 17:26:31 -0400 Thank you for your support of FreeBSD and our ports packages. This looks like an interesting script, and I hope you are able to get it to a point where we can use it. A couple notes, and not in any order of priority. this really isn't a new port shar. its's just a shar for the script. and normally, we don't want source code in a port (basically, this is just source code) it really isn't packaged to be a port, you need (at least) a Makefile, pkg-desc, pkg-plist. there is none here. The explanation of what this does, and why really isn't long enough. someone looking at description would not know what this is. Also, the hard coded paths in your shell script would make this unusable even in the default FreeBSD installation. If you need help with these above, please join and post to the freebsd-ports mailing list. Thanks again for your support of FreeBSD, and I hope to see this script in ports soon. -- Michael Scheidell, CTO >*| * SECNAP Network Security Corporation d: +1.561.948.2259 w: http://people.freebsd.org/~scheidell
