As it had been explained on multiple occasions, as long as there is
autotools-based build available, it should be always preferred over
CMake due to much longer dependency chain the latter entails; I recall
how hard I had to fight this when bringing up ppc32 jail, for instance.

But then again, all of this does not matter as there was an elaborate
comment in the Makefile and repeatedly stated, unequivocal objection
from invested committer.
