You can try manually adding: CONFIGURE_ENV= CPPFLAGS="-D_THREAD_SAFE -D_REENTRANT" \ LDFLAGS="-pthread" to the port's Makefile. Failing that, manually edit the configure script: wherever you see -lGL add -pthread after it.
