I'm running XFree 3.1.2E and I'm using PCVT instead of SYSCONS. So? Well, for some reason I can't shifted function keys to work. Under a vt220 connection, I try running MicroEMACS (3.12 and 4.00) and f1 and F1 work the same (ie, it doesn't recognize F1 as Shift-F1). This the case for all the fuction keys BTW. I get similar results under X as well. Also, running xkeycaps to see just exactly what's going on, all I see is that the same scancode is return for the function keys no matter what modifier key (shift, ctrl, alt) is being pressed. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to revise my termcap entry? Is it because I'm using pcvt instead of syscons? Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. --Jerry 8) Jerry Alexandratos % - % "Nothing inhabits my (8 8) alexandr@louie.udel.edu % - % thoughts, and oblivion (8 8) darkstar@strauss.udel.edu % - % drives my desires."
