Now that I've got a cable modem, >I sure don't want to turn into an inadvertant spam relay. By default, no; it's sendmail 8.8.8. But you can visit http://www.sendmail.org/, which has pointers to Claus Assman's anti-relaying rulesets, which I've used successfully with sendmail 8.8.8. (Actually, while I was at it, I also built Wietse Venema's tcp_wrappers, then re-compiles sendmail 8.8.8 to use libwrap.a, which allows a significant degree of flexibility re: what systems are allowed to use your machine's SMTP port.) david -- David Wolfskill UNIX System Administrator dhw@whistle.com voice: (650) 577-7158 pager: (650) 371-4621 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
