What ever happened to the idea of using '--' to mean "all the following arguments are files, even if they look like options"? After all, every other option is also "a valid filename", so what is so special about "+N"? We can preserve anything we want to preserve, and document where our sort command is different from posix. Maybe at some future time it will be less painful to drop +N, but we will have enough pain with release 5.0 that we don't need to add this incompatible change. Just MO, of course. -- Garance Alistair Drosehn = gad@gilead.netel.rpi.edu Senior Systems Programmer or gad@freebsd.org Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or drosih@rpi.edu To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
