Kill the HTML, and your pointless "disclaimer" which was six times as long as your message. What you want to do is create a user with the password field set to "*". That is, create your cvs user using pw or adduser or whatever tool you like. Enter whatever you like for the password. Then run "vipw" and make the second field (the encrypted password) a single asterisk.
