An external TA is like any other serial modem and you don't need isdn
support on FreeBSD kernel.

You have to use user-ppp (man ppp). For configuration hints on user-ppp
multilink support, look at:

At the end of this file there is a section begining: "# Multilink mode is
available (rfc1990).". That's it!.
