Your patch isn't required. But instead adding a line 'WITHOUT_CUPS=yes' into /etc/make.conf adding a line 'SAMBA_OPTIONS=\"WITHOUT_CUPS\"' is recommented. Have a look into ports/samba/scripts/configure.samba for other possible options. Thanks for the hint with the CUPS behaviour. It should be checked ...
