Hmmm, I don't know about SCSI but the IDE 1.08 Quantum Fireball works
just fine for me :

wdc0: unit 1 (wd1): <QUANTUM FIREBALL1080A>, 32-bit, multi-block-8
wd1: 1039MB (2128896 sectors), 2112 cyls, 16 heads, 63 S/T, 512 B/S

it the fastest IDE we run here
