I have been trying to install FreeBSD 2.2.2 on my system for the last 4 weeks. My system contains 3 HD's, a Matrox Millenium video card, Sound Blaster 32 PnP, AmJet 33.6 fax modem, Quick TSW2 MB, P133 (Intel), 32 Mb EDO ram. wd0 Quantum Fireball 1.2Gb C-2484 H-16 S-63 wd1 Quantum Fireball 4.3Gb C-14848 H-9 S-63 (This will be my FBSD drive) sd0 DEC DSP3053L SCSI-2 545Mb On the main board I have com1/2, lpt1, 2 HD controllers, an Adaptec AIC-7880 SCSI controller which runs off of PCI#0. I currently have Win95 rev B using the 32 bit FAT on wd0. I have tried stripping my system to the basics and still have not gotten anywhere. I have removed wd0 and sd0 from the system and tried to install with no luck. I bott from the floppy and begin a novice installation from the CD-Rom. Everything seems to go just fine. I install some ports, configure X windows, and everything seems peachy. I reboot and the system tells me that no operating system is installed. What am I doing wrong? During install setup when I set the partitions, I select the basic choices. (/, swap, /var, /usr). I hope this is enough information for someone to help me. I pray that someone will help me. 8^/ Much thanks, Vincent Rodriguez -- It is not whether or not you die, we all die eventually. It is, in fact, how you have lived, that will make the difference. No matter how small.
