It is difficult to know without seeing how the drive comes on line. Joerg has done some work with MO drives. If it comes on line as a type 0 (direct: regular disk drive) you may be up and running right away. If it comes on line as "optical memory" you'll have some work to do, though I'll be sending Joerg a patch to allow you to bring an optical memory on line as a disk at the end of this week.
