Xft2/Fontconfig are seperate from (and are replacing) XftConfig, Xft1 and paths of font in XF86config. Xft2/Fontconfig, you don't really need to do anything. All you have to do is drop the fonts in the font directory and that's it. The new fonts will appear in the font tool by automatic without restart X. But, you still have to edit XF86Config by add paths and restart X for apps that are depending on Xft1 or just plain X's sake. Here are few good links about Xft2/Fontconfig: www.fontconfig.org www.keithp.com http://xfree86.org/~keithp/talks/ Cheers, Mezz _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-gnome" in the body of the message
