I built the X.Org server with udev support and configured xf86-input-libinp= ut (the kernel was already built with evdev). The input part is the laptop's keyboard, an external USB keyboard and an external USB mouse. The video par= t is the NVIDIA driver (with two external monitors) when at my desk, or the built-in xf86-video-modesetting (+ Intel GPU) when elsewhere.
