As for the previous maintainer, I attempted sometime back in June to get a hold of him (see http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/getmsg.cgi?fetch=1402227+1405414+/usr/local/www/db/text/2000/freebsd-ports/20000625.freebsd-ports ) but never received a response. If you check that thread further, you'll find that Maxim was agreeable to the change. Certainly, if astralblue wishes to get involved at this point, I will yield.
