That sucks. the only reason why I telnet to my router-box is ifconfig isp0 up/down, which I need to do as root. Either, I log in as root via telnet (I'm using ssh, btw, but Windows has no good/free ssh client), or I su (sucks) or something like sudo. I'll probably soon do something like sudo.
