I'm using the pcm0 with my SB16 (CT2290) on 2.2.6-stable from 6/19/98. It plays sounds (.au) just fine, but I get this error: WARNING: rdintr but read DMA inactive! Is this something to worry about? Or should I ignore it and go on with life, so long as the sound plays? >From dmesg: pcm0 at 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x13 on isa Note: 8-bit DMA is on drq 1, 16-bit DMA is on drq 5 Finally: gateway# cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (980215) Jun 23 1998 03:16:48 Installed devices: pcm0: <SoundBlaster 16 4.13> at 0x220 irq 5 dma 1:3 I've used the sb0 with snd0 (etc.) and this seems to work the best (with the exception of this error).
