The following reply was made to PR ports/70387; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Danny Pansters <danny@ricin.com> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, ports@ricin.com Cc: Subject: Re: ports/70387: PORT UPDATE: x11-themes/gtk-qt-engine Date: Tue, 17 Aug 2004 02:04:52 +0200 FEEDBACK I noticed this port is not complete/ok. I'm working on revising this port; there appears to be breakage with the kcmgtk menu entry. auto* tools gotta love and hate them. You'll get a menu entry in the KDE control center modules menu with the (new) GTK Styles and Fonts menu. If clicked you'll notice it doesn't work as expected (that is with full cooperation of the gtk-qt-engine port). Please dont commit ATM, fixing is needed. Delete pkg-plist. Please give me some time to solve this. There's easy ways out but in the longer term that's not going to help. I've acted too fast to submit this port update. Note: it works as-is for general gtk-theme --> qt theme widget conversion and such, but the gtk styles/fonts chooser menu doesn't work. If I get really stuck I'll contact the author. But it looks to be porting problems (or what peculiar things we do with gtk/gnome and kde apps and libs). So, for now, please close this PR if deemed appropriate or (better) leave open or leave it in feedback stage. Please don't commit as-is. Dan
