Are you sure that your corssover cable is good? In the past, with
100Mbps Ethernet, we used crossover cables with only 2 active pairs
(other 2 may have been bad and gone unnoticed); nowdays, with 1Gbps
Ethernet, the cable will need te 4 pairs.
