I had no end of problems with an IBM DTLA307030 (30Gb ATA/100) on the HPT366
controller under both Linux and FreeBSD. The drive developed a bad sector so
I returned it and got a Western Digital 30Gb ATA/100 (more by luck than
judgement). The Western Digitial has had no problems at all.
