Whoa... put the coffee cup down...

There are many solutions to problems that happen when you do this
sort of thing (install onto a second disk) however the variations
of second disk installs varies greatly.

please detail the end result you wish to achieve:

1) freebsd installed on second IDE disk.
2) freebsd installed on first IDE disk.
3) dual boot, DOS/Win on first disk, FreeBSD on second.

now, tell us what happens when you try any _single_ one of these,
it's pretty hard to fork off into 3 different install options
in a single email.

choose a goal then tell us the error/problem you get _exactly_.
