You know, I thought I knew how to set up a soundcard under BSD. Worked the first time I tried it. Now, for a new one, I am realizing that I don't know what a pcm is, or what "controller snd" means or just how BSD handles plug and play for that matter (oh for the simple days of IRQs-- j.k.). Clearly, I was just lucky the first time out. Is there a favorite tutorial on 1) the soundcard 2) bsd pnp type stuff (4.0) 3) beyond LINT (kernel configuration explanations) In that order of specificity I guess.
