Thanks for your quick response Jonathan!

Unfortunately, the FreeBSD installation that I have
doesn't have a /usr/ports directory itself.

Any clues on -
1. Why dosen't my installation have a ports directory?
2. How can I get one and the ports/java/jdk14
directories, content?
