This way the reader does notice the space: =E2=80=9C> ;=E2=80=9D
";" is a placeholder mentioning that text starts at this position.
This way the reader is missing the space:  =E2=80=9C> =E2=80=9D
The text is a little bit misleading.

Before posting to a list a user should read a very long netiquette
studded with terms (e.g. white space) never heard before and with
ambiguous explanations (e.g. > ;).
