If I remember correctly, that is because the license for sz and rz does 
not allow them to be packaged and sold.  Read the Makefile for the port, 
and then read the license information that should be distributed with 
rzsz (not the FreeBSD port, but the original package).  

You have to make rzsz from a port.  The handbook has well-written 
instructions on how to go about this.  It only involves a few more steps 
than adding the stuff from a package.
