That's only the INQUIRY command. Peter (Dufault) only added this to the scsiformt script in order to remain API-compatible with the 4.4BSD scsiformat(8) command (that never ran under FreeBSD). The actual formatting command is -c "4 0 0 0 0 0", and should work with camcontrol as well.
