I did that too, but forgot to mention it. I did it again for good
measure:
root@oozing [/dev]# sh MAKEDEV bpf0
root@oozing [/dev]# sh MAKEDEV bpf1
root@oozing [/dev]# tcpdump
tcpdump: /dev/bpf0: Device not configured
ARGGhhh!
