Simply installing a newer version of sendmail probably isn't adequate in terms of security, although you can go to www.sendmail.org and pick up 8.11.7 or 8.12.9; you should probably upgrade the entire operating system to something more recent in order to get fixes for problems with the DNS resolver libraries, zlib, and lots of other things. -Chuck
